Biography
Hi, I am Dr. Matthew Green. I was born and raised in Connecticut and attended the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) for my both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. From there I attended Dental School at Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015. Next, I furthered my training by completing a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in 2019. My wife and I are happy to return to New York after a brief hiatus. I currently live in Queens, NY with my lovely wife Lindsey (we met in Forest Hills when I was a resident at NUMC).
At South Shore Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Associates (SSOSA) I practice full scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with particular interest in dental implants, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, outpatient anesthesia and oral-facial reconstruction.
I am also on staff at NUMC which allows me to perform larger procedures with a focus on maxillofacial trauma. Also, while at NUMC I enjoy educating the next generation of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical residents. Lastly, I am a member of the United States Army Reserves as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, I currently hold the rank of Captain.
To ensure patient safety and to stay current on all OMFS trends, I have obtained the status of Diplomate: American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and Fellow: American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). In addition, I am certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
My professional affiliations include the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (NYSSOMS), and the Nassau County Dental Society.
